Bedroom in Different countries

Bedrooms in different countries
Going to different countries, travelling, studying and working... I've been to Australia to study for about four months. I experience different cultures and living styles. Here has bigger and more spacious room. People usually put carpet on the bedroom floor while in Asia they don't. I'm working on a project and its aim is to collaborate with people around the world. I wonder how does bedroom look like in other countries so I did some research.

In Asia, due to the high population, we have smaller house and flat so the bedroom is respectively smaller too.

Here are some pictures

In Asia, many children sleeps in bunk bed with working area in the lower level. There are usually many selves or stuffs on the floor and there's only a way to get to your bed and your desk.

What is the bedroom look like in your country? I'm eager to find out more about different styles and cultures of bedrooms. If you have any photos, please upload it and I'm glad to hear your stories about the customs.

Busy week

I've been searching for cool interior design blogs this week. I looked at some successful blogs and learnt about how they designed their layout and what they put into content to make the blog so popular.

Her ideas are very inspiring and her sketches are so nice. I'm planning to do some sketches too and see if it has different effect from using Google Sketchup.

My FIRST sketch:)

I've been exploring how to use Google Sketchup7 recently. I learnt some basic skill of creating 3D construction. I'd like to do some practise before I actually do my design, so I tried to construct a model of my room. Here I attached both virtual and actual images. It's be so glad if you can comment and give advices about my Bedroom Sketchup:)

Start using SweetHome 3D

I've started using SweetHome Design for a few days, and I finally get use to it.
I spent my spare time in these few days sitting in front of my school computer,
and learning about how to create a house plan.
I did some research in google to get some inspiration from the real house plan.
Then I decided to draw one and create my own house.
At first I'd only like to create my room only because that's what I'm focusing on in my project.
However, it was sort of like incomplete... So I did the whole house plan and it was quite fun!

This is my house plan..
I tried to put some furniture in a bedroom too, just for trial.
The program only attachs some simple furniture for use,
so if I gotta stylish it and make it prettier,
I may need to download another file from the internet and add them into my program for decorate use.
